2024-2025 NEVA Club Tryouts

As the 2022 Club Season has concluded, we are thrilled to offer the youngest members of our NEVA family the opportunity to continue their volleyball experience in a dedicated Junior High League. We will compete alongside teams sponsored by high schools across the valley.

FALL LEAGUE DETAILS

We will be hosting a MAKEUP JH Fall League Tryout on Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11 from 2:00-3:30pm at APA Draper 3 Campus! Parent Meeting following Day 2 Makeup tryouts at approx. 3:45pm.

UPDATE: NEVA and the Draper APA Volleyball Staff have elected to open this league to ALL girls 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Please feel free to join us for our inaugural season regardless of which school you attend or whether you played with NEVA in the 2021-2022 Club Season! Register below.

 

 Select 5th graders may participate upon invitation from Draper APA Volleyball Staff. We aim to keep all players that try out, and hope to create teams of the size 9-11 players per team to facilitate reasonable playing time distribution. All players will get the opportunity to use their skills in a gameplay or game-like situation. That being said, equal playing time is NOT guaranteed.

Dedicated JH Team Practices will begin the following week of August 8. Most teams will practice 2 times weekly for 1.5-2 hours per practice. Practice dates and times will be announced as the season grows closer. Teams will continue to practice in this manner until the end of their season, tentatively planned to conclude in late October.

We plan to send some of our JH Teams to participate in interscholastic gameplay. Games will occur on Wednesday evenings, beginning in late August or early September and concluding in late October. Teams will typically play two games per evening at the hosting school. Hillcrest High School, Brighton High School, and others will be among those in our interscholastic pool. Game schedule and locations will be released as it becomes available and the season grows closer. The league game schedule may or may not include a 1 or 2 day "League Championships" tournament at the conclusion of regular gameplay.

Select JH Teams will be sent to compete in a statewide Junior High Tournament known as the Utah Jr. High/ Feeder League State Championships. Whether your player's team will be sent to participate in this tournament is dependent upon their final rankings in regular JH league season play and Draper APA Volleyball staff request. Should your player's team qualify to participate, the Feeder League State Championships tournament will occur from 10/28-10/29.

LEAGUE FEES

​

NEVA and the Draper APA Volleyball Staff are working hard to bring our JH Girls Fall League to your players at an accessible price point.

​

League Fees include:

- 11-12 weeks of practice, 2x weekly

- 6-8 weeks of games, 1x weekly

- 1 draper APA/eagles volleyball practice t-shirt

- 1 customized draper APA/eagles volleyball jersey

We estimate League Fees to fall in the range of $90-150 per player.

​

League Payment will be assessed at a later date. Parents/Guardians may fill out the registration form below without any obligation to reconcile league fees at this time. Once the final price point for the Fall League is established, Parents/Guardians will be notified. Failure to reconcile league payment by an established deadline or within a timely manner may result in your player's removal from their JH League Team or the withholding of their practice t-shirt and custom jersey.
